Keds New Green Label Shoes

Green is the New Black

After nearly one hundred years of putting little blue labels on the backs of colourful cute canvas sneakers, Keds has gone green – literally! In an effort to care for the planet and those who live here, Keds is rolling out a shoe that treads lightly on Mother Earth.

The shoes, available in two styles and five different colors, are made from 100% organic cotton, 20% recycled rubber and nontoxic dyes and inks. Furthermore, they feature nickel-free eyelets and recycled insoles. The shoe laces are made from 100% recycled PET (water bottles).

For every pair of Keds Green Label sold in 2009, Keds will plant a tree in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. How is that for putting your best foot forward!
