Recycle Your Tetrapak

Tetrapak Recycling Collection Depots Now Countrywide!

After months of hearing complaints from people that Tetrapak only had one recycling plant in Germiston, here is the good news… Tetrapak now has recycling drop off points countrywide.

There are 18 different collection points around Cape Town, 22 points in Johannesburg and 1 in Durban, where the actual recycling takes place! You’ll need to collect, wash and drop off your own Tetrapak containers at your closest collection point – but this shouldn´t be too difficult as there are enough to have one relatively close to your house, office or your child’s school.

Many of the drop-off centres take other recycling as well so you can offload all your overflowing boxes and bags in one go!

The more collections made, the more likely it is that more collection points will be allocated, so spread the word!

Collection points in Cape Town can be found in most major suburbs including: Kuils River, Bellville, Table View, Green Point, Constantia, Claremont, the City Bowl, Hout Bay and Salt River. Click here for the full list of Cape Town’s collection points.

Drop-off points in Joburg include: Bedfordview, Greenside, Marlboro, Midrand, Melrose, Norwood, Olifantsfontein and Kyalami. Click here for the full list of Joburg’s collections point.

Durban currently has only 1 collection point in Berea/Morningside.
