Prefabulous Eco Homes

When one thinks of prefab homes the words trailer park trash come to mind and the words ´eco friendly´ and ´eco chic´ wouldn´t even enter the equation. Well this is not so with Zenkaya´s prefab eco fabulous homes.

Imagine a life where you could purchase a home from a catalogue. Imagine a home you could get in few weeks. Imagine a home where quality is not compromised. Imagine a place where your home is unique and well designed. Imagine a place where you don’t have to deal with all the contractors and subcontractors. Imagine a place where you know what you get. Imagine a place which leaves you enough time to do other things. Imagine a place which will leave you enough money to enjoy your life. Imagine a place where your soul is at peace. This place already exists.

The name ZenKaya is born out of a name play. Zen because it is a troublefree experience and Kaya means home in vernacular South Africanlanguage, where the concept was first sketched – Eric Bigot´s Zenkaya is 100% South African. Zenkaya design is an international Design Company Specializing inPrefabricated structures. Eric Bigot is the designer for ZenKaya. Eric trained as an architect in France and has lived in New York, Japan andseveral parts of Africa. His interest for prefabricated housing started inNew York and Japan where construction methods are much more rationalizedand cost effective.

Zenkaya design was based on core sustainable principles. To start with, well proportioned rooms, efficient use of spaces and standard sizes materials were identified and drawn. Building ZenKaya in a factory has also reduced waste and all materials employed can be recycled when necessary.

What we love about these prefab eco homes is that they are delivered to your desired location completely assembled, so you don´t have to deal with workers running around your property for an undetermined period of time, putting your security at risk. All you need to do once it arrives is connect to electricity, water and sewage. Imagine…
