With summer right around the corner we thought we´d share with you our Top 10 natural and organic markets in and around South Africa. So get your friends and family together and go and enjoy a morning soaking up some rays outdoors while buying your fruit and veg instead of fighting with the crowds at your local shopping mall!

1. The Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market which has now moved to Oude Libertas in Stellenbosch and is held every Saturday from 9am – 2pm. This market is fantastic for fresh organic fruit and vegetables and have delicious, freshly baked cakes and tarts as well. We love it because of its location – a morning spent out in the winelands, doesn´t get much better than that!

2. The Bryanston Organic & Natural Market – Joburg´s original outdoor market, held every Thursday and Saturday from 9am – 3pm. As well as fresh, naturally grown produce they also have hand crafted goods and unique art pieces for sale. We love it beacause its open later than most other markets and its open on a Thursday as well so you can stock up before the weekend.

3. Constantia Waldorf Organic & Biodynamic Market, held every Friday from 11am – onwards. They stock a large selection of organic and biodynamic fresh produce including fruit, veg, eggs and dairy as well as honey, jams, pickels and other preserves as well as fresh flowers. We love it because it also has a Natural and Organic Life stall so you can stock up on all your natural and organic goodies all in one go!

4. Porter Estate Produce Market – held every Saturday from 9am – 1pm (weather dependent). This is a fabulous outdoor market and is located in the lower edges of Tokai forest. We love it because it´s child-friendly and you can sit down and indulge in a farm-style breakfast and there is plenty of parking.

5. Triangle Square Market in Fish hoek is a new classy undercover market mixing fine food with art and is held every Saturday from 9am – 2pm.
