Recycle Glass with Miss Earth SA

The Miss Earth South Africa is a programme that aims to empower young South African women with the knowledge and platform to create a sustainable difference in our plight to combat the destruction of our natural heritage.

The event helps create awareness of our environment, wildlife and the conservation of our natural legacy in South Africa, and ultimately the preservation of Mother Earth.

The winner of Miss Earth 2009 was Chanel Grantham. The Miss Earth South Africa ambassadors for the 2009 competition have demonstrated their collective support of glass recycling as cool “green” behaviour and when it comes to waste glass, they put their money where their mouth is and have issued a challenged to all South Africans to do the same.
