Wilde Things

With her striking blue eyes and impossibly flawless good looks, it’s no surprise that Olivia Wilde – who made an indelible mark as Alex Kelly on The O.C. and Dr. Remy Hadley on House  – was ranked the number one hottie in 2009 on Maxim’s annual superficial roundup of lovely ladies in today’s pop culture consciousness and PETA‘s sexiest vegetarian alongside of Biggest Loser trainer, Bob Harper.

Good looks and acting chops aside, the Irish-American who – sorry guys, is happily wed to an Italian prince (who also happens to helm documentaries AND play wickedly swoon-worthy flamenco guitar) – has far more going on as is evidenced by her charitable efforts, vegan leanings and now, her new Wilde Things website.

One look at her latest project makes it clear that Wilde is intent on spreading the word about all things good, green and inspiring in the world, such as giving props to TOMS shoes for their uniquely charitable Buy One Get One program.

Among her favorite vegan finds are everyone’s divine summer indulgence Luna & Larry’s Organic Coconut Bliss which the 26 year old admits she hugs in the freezer (particularly when it’s the Dark Chocolate variety) and Alicia Silverstone’s recipe for addictive Rice Krispie Treats made with brown crisped rice and natural nut butter.

Here, she’s being interviewed by Chelsea Handler about a phone call she had with President Obama on Chelsea Lately.
