Fairtrade fashion spotted in ´Eat, Pray, Love´

Fairtrade fashion has hit big screens again, this time in new release ´Eat, Pray, Love´. For those of you who haven´t read the book, do yourself a favour and head down to your local bookstore and grab yourself a copy. It is a great page-turner and interesting read!

Well now the book has been adapted into a screenplay starring Julia Roberts as the lead character, who dons an eco-chic, fairtrade purse in the movie.

The purse is a Hobo Bag, made from repurposed Kantha quilts and lined with a black and white floral cotton print, interior pockets, (one zipper pocket and another divided open pocket on the opposite side) and finished with a black cruelty-free suede base, straps and piping and brass hardware made by fair trade artisans in India. The roomy tote’s available at fair trade store Seven Hopes United for $140.
