liveeco´s owner and editor in chief, Nikki Seegers´, take on the last two years…
I can´t believe it´s been two years already, the time really has flown! We´ve come a long way from our humble beginnings of simply being an online publication, featuring green related news and lifestyle tips, to launching the eco network and becoming South Africa´s only online eco publication truly dedicated to fashion, beauty and lifestyle news. 2010 was also a special year for us as we were nominated as a Top 10 Finalist in the 2010 SA Blog Awards in the category “Old Mutual Best Green Blog“.
With the help of liveeco, many South African´s have discovered that being “eco” can be “cool” and that you don´t have to wear an ugly hemp sack to support a green lifestyle. It´s our mission to educate the consumer on the new, eco way of living in a chic, trendy, sociable, fun yet thought-provoking environment and I can proudly say that we are definitely fulfulling this mission and will continue to do so, the liveeco way, for many more birthdays to come!
I also want to say a big thanks to you, our valued readers, without you our 2nd birthday wouldn´t have arrived and to our advertisers and friends – thank you for all your support and for supplying us with quality, eco chic brands which we are able to showcase to our readers.
