The perfect antidote to a power outage

Spring has sprung in the mother city!

While the mass power outage that disrupted just about the whole of Cape Town this morning, played havoc with my morning schedule of emails, proposals and blogging, I decided it was the perfect opportunity for a Spring walk! My mom lives near Rondebosch Common and has been promising to accompany me on a tour de common to see the flowers, so we thought this was a brilliant way to beat the frustration of having zero power!

And let me tell you, what an excellent idea, the flowers are beautiful and all the colours are amazing. If you have a chance and you reside near the Southern Suburbs, do yourself a favour and go for a stroll. We are truly spoilt to have this piece of nature to enjoy right in the middle of the burbs and if you anything like me, you get so wrapped up in the mundane activities of day to day life that you don´t take a minute to stop, breathe and take note of the beauty that surrounds us and is absolutely FREE to enjoy! Thanks mom!

We took the dogs for a romp in the daisies as well, enjoy the visuals below 🙂 xx
