Flower Power
This past weekend I went up to experience the season’s floral spectacular at the West Coast Nature Reserve, near Langebaan in the Western Cape.
People were streaming into the reserve on Sunday in car loads to catch this annual phenomenon. This year was ultra special for me as my boyfriend proposed to me amongst the daisies! Eeeeek!!
The reserve was carpeted with brightly coloured blooms. If you are looking for a quick getaway weekend, there are houseboats and guest cottages available to rent out in the reserve. But hurry as the flowers will only be around for another week or two. Entry is R44 for adult SA citizens.
