Founder and President of Vancouver’s Eco Fashion Week, Myriam Laroche talks to the Vancouver Sun in this video below and states why she decided to found the event and what her thoughts on sustainable fashion are. Vancouver’s Eco Fashion Week was held this week from 21 – 24 April in Vancouver.
This is my dream for Live Eco’s own Avant Garde dress competition, to inspire other local designers to upcycle and embrace sustainable design. The key is taking eco fashion mainstream and encouraging consumers to ask questions about where items are made and who is making them and if they are paid a fair wage.
