Expensive = Eco-friendly Fashion

Shocked by the price of Vivienne Westwood’s high-end clothing? You’re supposed to, says the legendary British designer.”If people like my clothes, it’s good if they don’t buy things for six months, then they’ll be able to afford them,” she told reporters before showing her Spring/Summer 2014 menswear collection in Milan on Monday.

Westwood defended the cost of her designs, which can run up to £800 (R12 000) for a men’s suit. “I think it’s ecologically friendly that the clothes should be expensive,” she added.
