Five Beauty Rules to Be a Bronze Babe

Five Beauty Rules to Be a Bronze Babe
Although this might make you cringe, it can be a good thing: go for foundation that's a shade darker than what you usually wear.

Bronze is becoming a big trend in makeup, and with the holidays coming up you might be tempted to rock the beachy, bronze goddess look. Here’s how to get it right.

Boost Your Foundation Shade

Although this might make you cringe, it can be a good thing: go for foundation that’s a shade darker than what you usually wear. The reason for this is that you don’t want bronzer on your cheeks to be too dark and your foundation too pale. Rather, the bronze touches to your face should look luminous and natural, so opt for slightly darker foundation to make sure everything works. Try Juice Beauty Perfecting Foundation that provides lasting coverage while nourishing your skin with healthy ingredients.

Apply it Lightly

Bronzer should not be applied to your cheeks and cheekbones with an angled brush. Instead, it should be dusted lightly onto your cheeks, cheekbones, forehead, jawline and nose. Use a fluffy brush you’d reserve for face powder to apply it gently. This makes it look more natural.

Use a Highlighter!

Don’t stop after you’ve applied bronzer. Use a highlighter to give it an extra boost of radiance. Apply it to areas of your face that naturally catch the light – your cheekbones, chin, forehead and the bridge of your nose.

Eyeshadows in bronze shades are trendy and gorgeous

Blink in Bronze

It’s not just bronzer that can illuminate you this summer – eyeshadows in bronze shades are trendy and gorgeous. You can make the look stunning and minimal just by adding a brown or burgundy shade of eye shadow to your lower lash line and then finishing it off with bronze eye shadow. This layering effect looks gorgeous.

If you’re going with a minimal bronze look on your eyes, punch up your lips with gorgeous red or berry shades. This prevents your makeup from looking dull and the contrast creates sparks.

Create a Smoky Bronze Eye

If you want something a bit more dramatic on your eyes, use bronze eyeshadow all over you eyelids, then apply eyeliner in a colour that matches the eye shadow. Make sure you use your eyeshadow brush to blend the liner and eyeshadow colours together. Add a dash of shimmery bronze – or silver – to the inner eye and under your eyebrows to create an illuminated look. Finish off the look with brown or black mascara. Choose a gorgeous bronze eyeshadow shade from Zuii Organic.
