Last night was the Avant Garde object and Avant Garde dress design installation and prize giving, sponsored by Pick n Pay in partnership with vida e caffè and Design Time. The event was hosted by Live Eco and vida e caffè and vida’s Wembley Square store.
We are extremely proud to announce that Live Eco’s sustainable design competition, Avant Garde {dress & object} has been recognised as one of the official projects on the World Design Capital 2014 {WDC 2014} calendar of events in Cape Town next year.
Last week the Avant Garde object Top 15 finalists were put through their paces at the final judging session held at SDR studio.

On Saturday the winners of Avant Garde object 2012 were announced at The Green Expo. First place goes to Trace van Wijk for her melted bottle top bowl.
This morning we has a fabulous morning judging the Avant Garde object Design Time students eco chic objects. We had a vibrant judging panel who consisted of designer, Haldane Martin, Yolande Mitton, principal of Design Time; Andre Nel, sustainability manager from Pick n Pay and myself.
