One for the Kids
Recently we stumbled upon this really cool ecological footprint calculator, its meant for kids but fun for adults too! There are five different sections: transportation, what you eat, what you throw away, what you use and home and school.
Each section has a set of questions pertaining to how eco-friendly your lifestyle is. At the end of the quiz you get your carbon, land, trees and water usage totals which you can compare to the totals of your average countryman or woman!
What you will notice is that on average South Africans have a much lower ecological footprint that the average American. The quiz also tells you how many earths are needed to support your lifestyle and your daily decisions.
The Zero footprint calculator is a great way to educate your kids on becoming aware of the environment and climate change and on what changes they can make in order to live eco-friendly lifestyle.
