Dr Hauschka shower balms launched recently in four new flavours: Lavender Sandalwood, Lemon Lemongrass, Almond and Rose.
I have been trying out the Lavender Sandalwood which I am absolutely loving for its calming properties. I moved house last week and with the torrential downpours and freezing weather we have been having, its been a very stressful exercise so being able to relax in a warm bath after a long, hard cold day with the scent of lavender filling the room has been heavenly! A key ingredient in all the balms is an extract of quince seeds, which protects the skin and has two very special properties. It activates the skin and boosts its ability to absorb and retain moisture. Secondly this premium extract makes the balms even gentler to skin. All Dr Hauschka shower balms contain a high content of rich botanical oils, which produce a luxurious foam, unlike many other natural products, which not only pampers the skin but also provides an extra touch of moisturising (a necessity in the colder months).
The shower balms are also packaged in an environmentally friendly manner in a slender cylindrical plastic bottle with a practical press-to-flip cap. The new shape is perfect to throw into your gym bag and very handy for travel as its non-breakable. I have tried quite a few natural shower gels which are packaged in glass which is great for the environment but not so handy for travelling so I love that the Dr Hauschka shower balms come in travel friendly packaging.
Dr Hauschka shower balms are available in stores from the beginning of June and will retail for R215.
