The latest collection from Way It Should Be was launched recently at an elaborate affair in New York City. Behind the new line is Hassan Pierre, who first launched the luxury women’s demi-couture label in 2008 with the promise of a flourishing “ethical fashion” brand. And the 2014 collection has lived up to this idea, using organic silks for classic styles.
The entire range is produced in NYC helping keep their carbon footprint to a minimum. The collection features plenty items made from peace silks while zero waste techniques are used in all collections allowing the use of excess fabric to create unique and innovative accessories.
The new line also includes organic cotton fabrics. But Pierre also gave materials a ‘second life’, incorporating vintage dead stock fabrics into the collection such as a 1983 Valentino floral print in tangerine and ivory.
