How do you define “eco-fashion” in everyday life?
Fiat and Italian Vogue are champing at the bit to find out. From now till August 23, 2010, the automaker and the fashion bible are soliciting graphic designs that not only represent sustainable style but also dovetail with the image of Fiat’s ultraefficient TwinAir 500 subcompact. Besides snagging a hefty chunk of the €3,000 pot, the grand-prize winner will also see his or her design on a series of limited-edition bike helmets, which will go on sale during one of the fashion industry’s biggest events of the year.
PEDAL TO THE METAL
The winner of the best design, which will be selected by Fiat, will receive a prize of €2,000. The winning graphic will be printed on limited-edition bicycle helmets—some of which will be autographed by designers and celebrities—and made available for purchase during Fashion’s Night Out in Milan on September 9. All proceeds will go to the city’s “Adopt a Tree” initiative.
Two prizes of €500 each will also be awarded to the second and third best designs, which will be printed on additional bicycle helmets or used in other types of marketing and communications.
